This policy explains how Sanatan Australia collects, uses, and protects the personal information you share with us through this website. Sanatan Australia is an Incorporated Association in Victoria (registration A0128857V, ABN 86 595 681 426) and a not-for-profit organisation. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to serve our community. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site (Contact, Volunteer, Sponsor, or Donate enquiry), register for an event, or get in touch with us, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, and any details you include in your message. If you make a donation or pay for a class, our payment provider collects the details needed to process your payment.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site securely and reliably. We do not run advertising or behavioural tracking on this website.

Payments
Donations and class payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe processes this information in line with its own privacy policy.

We use trusted third-party services to operate the site and its features. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data:

- WhatsApp hosts our optional community group, if you choose to join
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers listed above so we can deliver what you have asked for, or where we are required to by law.
Children and Sanatan Kids
Sanatan Kids is our children's program. Our Sanatan Kids library is designed to be used without accounts, and we do not collect personal information from children through it. Where a parent or guardian registers a family for a children's event, we treat that information the same way as any other enquiry described in this policy.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the service providers we use (such as Stripe, Google, and Cloudflare) are based overseas or may store and process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled appropriately. By using this website and its forms, you consent to your information being disclosed to these providers on this basis.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, or as required to meet our record-keeping and legal obligations, and then we remove it.
Your rights

This website does not set its own tracking cookies. However, embedded services such as Google Maps and Stripe may set their own cookies when they load, in line with their privacy policies.
